Every March during National Nutrition Month®, one day is set aside to recognize Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) and their contributions to our health and well-being. Today, on RDN Day, we say thank you.
The roughly 2,000 RDNs throughout Compass Group play a key role in our efforts to create positive change in the food system through meaningful food experiences that promote well-being for people and planet. Here are just a few examples of the impact RDNs have on every meal we serve.
“Registered Dietitians collaborate with Chefs at every level of our business at Eurest including program strategy, menu development, employee training, customer education and launch of promotions and events, and it is so much fun! Our RDNs are invaluable for positively impacting customer behavior and driving wellness throughout our business by educating customers about our wellness and sustainability initiatives, developing wellness programs for our clients, doing hands-on cooking classes and partnering with our chefs to drive wellness on our menus.” – Eurest
“Dietitians in our business are often behind the scenes putting the finishing touches on programs before they are launched. They care about the health of associates and customers alike and build/adapt programs to enhance the quality of our offerings. Dietitians successfully work to provide solutions to all the health needs and requests that come their way.”– ESS
“As wellness remains a force behind Chartwells Higher Ed, our dietitians continue to carry us forward. RDs play a crucial role in developing the dining experience we provide our students. Instilling wellness & sustainability principles by engaging with students, guiding team members, helping our guests safely navigate cafes, and inspiring development and positive change are just some of the ways RDs help Chartwells Higher Ed teams to succeed. The constant innovation dietitians provide keeps us at the forefront of higher education dining. We are so grateful for their hard work, expertise and determination.” – Chartwells Higher Education
“RDNs are invaluable to our business. As nutrition and wellness experts, we help to ensure an enjoyable, safe dining experience for all-whether we are introducing customers to new ingredients, new innovations in sustainable dining solutions, or helping them navigate their options around allergies, dietary restrictions, or preferences.” – CulinArt
“The dietitians that support our Continuing Care Retirement Communities are multi-faceted professionals. Not only are they required to be well-versed in federal, state and local regulations concerning long-term care, they must be proficient in clinically assessing residents, experts in food allergy and menu management, inspiring wellness promoters, motivational managers, and dependable team players that know how to navigate relationships across multiple disciplines in a variety of departments. All while employing an empathetic and gracious attitude! Our RDs understand they are not just working in a ‘building’, but rather providing stellar food and nutrition services to the residents within a community they call ‘home’.” – FLIK Future Living
