We’re headed to Denver!
Each fall, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics sponsors the world’s largest meeting of food and nutrition experts — registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs), nutrition and dietetics technicians, registered (NDTRs), researchers, policymakers, health care providers and industry leaders attend the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo® (FNCE) to address key issues affecting the health of all Americans. This year, FNCE will be in Denver from October 7-10.
The science of food and nutrition is continually evolving. This is why continuing education is so critical to our RDNs. FNCE features exciting educational opportunities not available elsewhere. And the Expo features products and services from exhibiting companies showcasing the latest and greatest trends and offerings in food, nutrition and health. Many of our Compass RDNs will be in attendance. If you are attending, stop by our Compass Group booth in the Expo hall.

Morrison Healthcare was able to implement a malnutrition quality improvement program that not only resulted in not only fantastic outcomes for patients, but also generated an additional $ 2.5 million in revenue for the system.

Today we`re highlighting an incredibly talented #CompassRDN, Nicole Arcilla, who received the Dietitians in Business & Communications (DBC) Circle Award at #FNCE this year!

Nicole started with DBC in 2014 as a social media chair and quickly progressed to newsletter editor and lastly marketing chair. Over her 5 years of service, she`s demonstrated her capabilities to stretch DBC to lengths they haven`t experienced before through streamlining the monthly newsletter, captivating the quarterly Insights audience with meaningful content, and overseeing the launch of @dbcdpg. Congrats Nicole!

Tamara is the Director of Nutrition & Sustainability at @chartwellsk12 and the Co-Founder and Executive Director of @diversifydietetics, a 501(c)3 non-profit on a mission to increase diversity in the field of nutrition by empowering students and young professionals from underrepresented minority groups to join the next generation of nutrition experts. Only 10% of #dietitians are people of color and her team aims everyday to increase that number. At #FNCE she received the first-ever Diversity in Promotion award for all her great work.
