International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative (IDDSI)
Please note: This therapeutic diet should only be followed under the supervision of a registered dietitian or healthcare provider.
Your diet, like your medication, is an important part of your treatment and is designed to ensure you are safe. Your doctor has ordered a Pureed Diet (PU4) for you.
While on this diet you will be served:
- Foods that are smooth and without lumps
- Foods that are moist but not too wet
You will not be served:
- Foods that you will need to chew
- Foods that are too sticky or too firm

Dieta en Puré (PU4)
Iniciativa Internacional para Estandarizar la Dieta para Disfagia (IDDSI por sus siglas en inglés)
Nota: Esta dieta terapéutica debe seguirse únicamente bajo la supervisión de un nutricionista registrado o profesional de la salud.
Su dieta, al igual que sus medicamentos, es una parte importante de su tratamiento y está diseñada para proveerle seguridad al tragar. Su médico ha recetado una dieta en puré (PU4) para usted.
Mientras esté en esta dieta, usted recibirá:
- Alimentos suaves y sin grumos
- Alimentos húmedos, pero no mojados
Usted no recibirá:
- Alimentos que necesitará masticar
- Alimentos que son demasiado pegajosos o demasiado duros
