Back in February, Compass Group was announced as one of the winners of the 2019 SEAL Business Sustainability Award for our Carbon Foodprint Tool. This award is given to companies that are known for their leadership as well as their transparency and commitment to sustainable business practices.
Carbon Foodprint is an internal web-based tool that allows operators to create customizable strategies to improve energy, water, and waste performance through menu and equipment management. In 2019, Carbon Foodprint users reduced enough red meat to avoid over 52,000 pounds of CO2 and reduced their water use by 41,000 gallons. Our clients use Carbon Foodprint to respond to global reporting requests like the Carbon Disclosure Project.
