Ingredients
- 1/4 cup quinoa dry
- 1/2 cup wild rice dry
- 1.5 tsp canola oil
- 3 Tbsp carrots diced
- 3 Tbsp celery diced
- 3 Tbsp yellow onion diced
- 1.5 tsp fresh garlic chopped
- 3/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 lb 85% ground turkey

Instructions
- Cook the rice and quinoa in separate pots according to the manufacturers specifications. Drain and cool. Set aside.
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sauté the carrots, celery onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add the cumin, salt and pepper. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
- Combine the cooked/cooled grains, sauteed vegetables and ground turkey together. Mix thoroughly and form 4 oz. patties. Grill or sear on a flat top until the internal temperature reaches 165F.
